Ok here is one beautiful baja. Clean and simple. Picked her up in Irwindale Ca. This day was during the hottest heat wave of our time they said. I don’t know if thats true but it was fucking hot hot hot!!! The family I bought it from was an interior shop, the reason the inside is so very sweet. Â When I got there solo mission, I was greeted by the entire family lol. They were like if you want us to start it we can lol. I responded thats alright. There was bo gas tank, no battery and all the fuel line was shot shot shot lol. I paid the man hooked up my tow bar and on my way back to my buddies Alvins house to start bringing her back. Oh wait I made one stop at Pierside parts in HB. I had called Larry the owner on my way there and gave him a parts list. He had everything. Ok arrived at Alvins and parked it in his driveway next to his bad ass Ghia sand car. Come to find out that thing was far from firing lol. Nature of the beast. We had to go through electrical and find out why the starter was not engaging. Oh btw I had 2 other starters we installed so it clearly was not the starter. Anyways we figured the electrical out and got the starter to begin to kick. Hell to the yes! Added fuel and primed carb. Carb was junk lol. Was a brand new Empi 34 pict that came on the car and it was all dirty inside and clogged. Sitting out with old fuel left did us no good. We had some old carbs we pulled out of a box and looked around for our best temp option as i planned to order a new empi 30 pict. Swapped carbs and turned that bitch over and she was like pop pop crack pop crack crack. He she was coming. So good! All parts arrived the next week installed and she was sounding pretty. However be carful of the choke sticking as this will foul plugs quick
