1974 PBR – purple blue red
Well here’s a beauty and a great story.
I saw this baja like 5 years before I bought it just sitting. At that time I was not in the position to buy it for financial reasons. This did not stop me from remembering and thinking about the car. She creeped in and out of my mind and body from time to time. I knew the Baja was built well when I first laid eyes on her. Why do we call cars she and her? Anyways fast forward 5 or so years and she pops up on the internet for sale. What?! Are you kidding me? This baja was haunting me for sure. The car was bought from a local solid cool dude who made some killer upgrades and changes. He also drove the shit out of it. Used it well. I set an appointment up to look at the car and it was in the evening dark I noticed she was not as clean as she was 5 years ago. Nevertheless I saw potential big time.
She came with a 1600 that ran with a close ratio trans. Solid!
Changes we made-
More stout rear cage. Thanks Allen motorsports.
2276 built by paradise motorsports. I did buy it used from the internet somewhere in San Marcos. Fast kick ass motor for sure.
all new fuel and oil lines and oil cooler
Swapped front hood to a more classic style with headlight buckets. We painted and cut.
Added Centerlines all 4 with new 30/9.5×15 rear AT tires
rubbed the paint out with TR3 and finishing wax.
Rear fenders were also cut and drivers side changed.
photos are a little mixed up but have a look. Really nice inspiring baja that will be tearing up the street and deserts I am sure
thanks to all my friends for the love and support .
The driving force behind this and all our builds are love and passion for vintage bajas and buggies. Without that there’s no energy!
