Well here we go again.
The wife has been talking about wanting a convertible bug for like a year now lol. Honestly I have never been a fan of any convertibles. However over the years mostly at bug shows I have seen some pretty cool lowered convertibles. Anyways I started looking around the US of A for a cool convertible. I only saw a few and nothing under 15K. I wasn’t really into the idea 100% so my patience were super mellow and BOOOOM a cool vert popped up in Flagstaff AZ. Was not exactly what I was looking for and really never is but close enough. I opened up negotiations with the seller through email and text. I followed with a phone call a weeks later. We went over details and confirmed what I felt was a fair price. Keep in mind I was thinking of dropping the cash into his PayPal and having the car picked up and delivered to my house. (sight unseen purchase). For me to get my trailer and run out to Arizona from Orange County would have cost me the whole day and over $500 in fuel. I rang my boy Matt up who owns Lightning Auto transport. We always have fun over the phone catching up. Matt said for $500 he would go and grab the car and drop off at my door step. Done it was on! All and all from first text message to seller to car in my driveway around 6 weeks. The car was more than I expected. So far we have added all new carpet, Fresh door panels, window cranks and a bumping system. Been loving every bit of this ride.
